In seminars, workshops and individual coaching sessions, I teach writers creative power techniques to connect with their audiences and give their words impact. My 25 years in the classroom include 12 as a creative writing instructor, and I have done extensive writing and editing in a variety of genres for business owners and individuals. I have an MA in Writing with a Creative Writing/Journalism focus and a BS in Elementary Education.
My three children and my sister have kindly produced two grandsons, two granddaughters and a niece I adore, and two Australian Shepherds boss my husband and me around. Besides reading and writing and playing the flute and guitar, I love movies and Calvin and Hobbes. I am also a voice actor!

I think details are good, when you’re being helpful and teaching important ideas. My name is Maira, by the way 🙂

skyecaitlin,
Thanks for your kind words! I tried to keep the bio short and add a bit of humor. The peacock represents the synergy of creativity and power that I teach writers to achieve. I’m still experimenting a bit with different topics and writing styles. Let me know what you like and what you’d like to see featured!
